Sea Empire: Winter Lords

Released for Android in December 2011

Build your fleet. Colonize islands. And… survive! The special edition of our real-time strategy game, now with Google Play Games achievements and leaderboards.

About the game

How long can you stand such a harsh winter? Will you be able to provide your people with enough food?

Sea Empire: Winter Lords is a real-time strategy game and a special edition of Sea Empire. It has different gameplay even though it is also based on mining resources, building a ship fleet and conquering islands. So what makes it different? The “food” resource is introduced, and you can build several villages without the need of complete fortresses on every island before.

Sea Empire: Winter Lords is suitable for tablet displays.

Download

Sea Empire: Winter Lords is available in two versions. The free version contains ads and offers a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the full version and removes the ads. The paid Sea Empire: Winter Lords (AdFree) has everything unlocked, no ads and no in-app purchases. The in-app purchase in the free version unlocks the full version, which is functionally identical to the paid Sea Empire: Winter Lords (AdFree) and is offered at the same price. Buying either option supports development of the game.

How to play

The goal

Get economic superiority and build fortresses over the archipelagos (and/or complete other objectives).

Types of game

You can play single maps or a randomly generated map. To win each type of game you have to complete objectives (press the phone button MENU and choose “objectives”). Most often the objective is to build some number of fortresses within a given number of days. There are three difficulty levels.

Islands and resources

To win this game you need enough resources (wood, stone, food, furs and money). The amount of your resources is displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Resources

Wood, stone, fur and food can be mined on islands. Gold can be obtained by selling other resources. To mine regular resources, select the ship and then click on the specific island.

Islands

There are special islands (extra resources, food and fish). You cannot build anything on such islands.

Most of the buildings and ships consume food every day. If you run out of food, your people will work very, very slowly! So it is very wise to avoid that situation.

Buildings

You can settle on some types of islands if you have enough resources. You need a Pinasse ship for this. Once you confirm building of a new village, the Pinasse is disintegrated and used for building too. Then you can build several types of buildings on your islands:

Village
The first building, which helps you to settle the island.
Marketplace
You can sell surplus resources there.
Shipyard
After building a shipyard, you can build more ships.
Fisherman’s house
The fisherman brings a small amount of food every day.
Miner’s house
Increases resource production on the island by 200%.
Fortress
After building the fortress on the island, you can build the Pinasse ship!

Ships

You can build new ships after you build a shipyard. They differ in speed, capacity and cost.

Ships
Cog
The smallest and slowest ship.
Capacity 25, cost 200.
Caravelle
The most used type of ship.
Capacity 50, cost 400 and 2 food/day.
Pinasse
The biggest ship. Can settle a new village.
Capacity 100, cost 800 and 4 food/day.

Achievements and leaderboards

While playing you can earn achievements through Google Play Games. Your results are also submitted to public leaderboards, so you can compare yourself with players around the world. Sign in to Google Play Games in the game to use them.
